3.14.09 The Wins (and the Hits) Keep on Coming...
The ladies of the Steel City have done it again! Last night's double header resulted in yet another double-win for the Steel Hurtin' and the B-Unit. First the B-Unit took on the Wilkes-Barre Coal City Rollers. Wilkes-Barre got off to an early lead but the B-Unit quickly made up the points to gain the lead and successfully hold it for the rest of the game. This game marked the first time the B-Unit has broken the 100-point mark, with a final score of B-Unit 107, Wilkes-Barre 73. The Steel Hurtin' followed suit in breaking THEIR own personal score record by breaking the 200 point mark, vanquishing the Long Island Roller Rebels 233 - 70. Congrats girls!

3.14.09 Demons On Parade!
For the second consecutive year, the SCDD was invited to skate in the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Pittsburgh! The crowd seemed really excited to see us and we were pleased as punch to be involved in this event. Avoiding man-holes and skating on cobblestones was not as hard as some of us expected. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
3.1.09 Our Girls are on a Roll: Steel Hurtin Defeats Atlanta
On Saturday, February 28th, the ladies of the Steel Hurtin took a trip down to Atlanta, GA to play the Atlanta Roller Girls on their home turf. We are very proud to announce that our girls brought home yet another victory, winning 145 - 114. This marks a continued winning streak of four games in a row for the Pittsburgh All-Stars. Congradulations ladies, and thanks to Atlanta for being wonderful hosts!
2.22.09 Another Double Victory for the Steel City Derby Demons!
Last night's double header turned out to be another glorious double victory for the Steel Hurtin' and the B-Unit. The Ohio Roller Girls really brought their A-game and proved to be extremely tough competitors. The B-Unit just barely edged out OHRG's Gang Green beating them by a single point to win 80 - 79. The Steel Hurtin' faced a difficult match as well but through amazing team work and endurance, beat the OHRG A-team 125 - 98. Great job to all who played and many thanks to the ladies of Columbus! We hope the fans had as great a time as we did and we hope to see you back in March for "Fast Times at Derby High" when the Steel Hurtin' takes on Long Island and the B-Unit plays Wilkes-Barre. However next up for the Steel Hurtin' is an away game with the Derby gals of Atlanta next Saturday. Good luck, ladies!
Lastly, if you missed the action last night, full bout recaps will be available on DerbyNewsNetwork.com in a few days or so.

The Steel City Derby Demons' travel season is in full swing as both the Steel Hurtin' and B-Unit celebrated wins against Connecticut's Stepford Sabotage and Akron's NEO Rock n' Roller Girls respectively. This win marks a continued streak of wins for the B-Unit making their record 2-0 this season so far. The Steel Hurtin's record is now 2 - 1, following back to back wins, first again Indianapolis' Naptown Derby Girls and then Connecticut.
The Demons would like to extend a special thanks to all of the fans who came out to the game, as it was one of our most highly-attended bouts in our history so far. Our league would be nothing without the fan's support!
